From August 3 to 6, a small contingent from the Western Association joined our conferes from the American and Federal Associations on the Order of Malta's pilgrimage to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help in Champion (New Franken) -- north of Green Bay, Wisconsin, which was attended by over 190 pilgrims.

The National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help is a place for all who seek help and healing through the prayers of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In 1859, Adele Brise, encountered the Queen of Heaven at this site.

Pilgrims from around the world have been experiencing the Shrine for over 150 years. The Catholic Church officially confirmed the Marian apparitions in 2010. And in 2016, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) officially designated the grounds as a National Shrine.

This is the fourth year that the Order of Malta has traveled on pilgrimage to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help and the first year that the Western Association has sent an official contingent on the pilgrimage. Special pilgrims seeking healing were brought to the Shrine by the American and Federal Associations. The pilgrimage was a special time of prayer and fellowship. Please consider joining the pilgrimage next year and look for information coming from the Western Association office concerning it.
