Last Fall, the Orange Location Auxiliary partnered with Love Orange for their Annual Volunteer Day. There were over 20 volunteers from the city of Orange that volunteered at the St. Norbert Christian Service Food Distribution.
The Orange Location Auxiliary runs the weekly food distribution that serves 300 families per week. Over 1,200 people are served fresh produce, bread, non-perishables, milk, and eggs. The St. Norbert Food Distribution Program is a new charity that began receiving a grant in 2023 from the Order of Malta.
With the grant money, we were able to purchase fresh produce, beans, rice, and items for Senior Care Kits. Over 200 Senior Care Kits are distributed each month, which have included hygiene items, pill boxes, soup, oatmeal, socks, hand lotion, snacks, pens, notepads, lip balm, and flashlights.
The program runs on donations and volunteers from ages 6-92! The Orange Location Auxiliary has served over 1,200 hours in 2023. Our most experienced volunteer was recently recognized by Congressman Lou Correa for her decades of service!
Amanda, one of our high school volunteers and the daughter of our Orange Location Auxiliary President, Angelina Gibson, was interviewed as our representative from the St. Norbert Christian Service Food Distribution Program. Click HERE to watch the video!
