Dear MI Americas Supporter:

Every year, when natural disasters affect communities across the United States and Latin America, we strive to mobilize our network and respond as quickly and efficiently as possible to save lives and help impacted communities recover. With a dedicated team of trained emergency response professionals, we count on the support from out of our network to be able to mobilize quickly and support people whose lives have been upended by floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, and unexpected disasters. I am reaching out to share an exciting opportunity to play a direct role in the impactful emergency response work we do in the region.

To increase Malteser International’s (MI) response capacities when crisis strike, we continuously extend our Pool of Voluntary Experts that are trained to assess humanitarian needs and initiate our response in a disaster area. This training is a great opportunity for experienced service professionals or anyone eager to learn more about disaster response with a desire to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable communities during a time of need.

We are organizing a 3-day intensive training session in November 12-14, 2021 in Charlotte, NC that aims to provide selected volunteers with the tools they need to play an impactful role in emergency operations. For anyone interested in learning more about humanitarian response, this is a great opportunity to develop new skills and be a part of a global organization committed to making a difference.

For application instructions and more details on the training, please apply through our volunteer hub using this link. In order to register for the training event you must have or create an account first.

Thank you and best regards,

MI Americas
