In partnership with Food Forward, a Los Angeles nonprofit that recovers surplus fresh fruits and vegetables, the Malta Mobile Ministries van in conjunction with the Order of Malta, Los Angeles Location delivered more than 10,000 pounds of produce to the needy of the Los Angeles community. Deliveries in the month of September included weekly stops to Juan Diego House in El Monte and Proyecto Pastoral in Boyle Heights, as well as St. Peter’s Italian Church in the Chinatown area of LA, and the Pasadena Senior Center.

“The Order of Malta LA Location and Mobile Ministries are grateful to Food Forward for supplying us with fresh produce for delivery to our partner charities throughout the Los Angeles area,” said Vince Farhat, KM and Hospitaller at the LA Location.
