Just before Christmas, Members of the Los Angeles Location and the parishioners of St. Philip the Apostle in Pasadena assembled 10,000 packaged meals, 2,100 hygiene kits, and wrapped over 450 toys for distribution to those less fortunate.

The enthusiasm, spirit, and level of engagement of these volunteers was truly refreshing to see.” – Tim Shannon, KM

The Los Angeles Location of the Order of Malta Mobile Ministries was then able to play Santa Claus and deliver the gifts to the children of Pico Gardens. The gifts were generously donated by Cathedral High School in Los Angeles and St. Philip the Apostle Parish in Pasadena. Order of Malta Members were also able to distribute gift cards for local grocery stores to the parents of the children, purchased with cash donated by Cathedral High School students and their families.

Because of the generosity of Order of Malta Members, Cathedral High School students and families, and parishioners of St. Philip the Apostle, volunteers were able to brighten the days of many families and provide them a more joyous Christmas celebration.
