In 2025, the Church celebrates the Jubilee Year of Hope with the theme of Pilgrims of Hope.

As long as we visit the designated site of the Holy Cross, receive the Eucharist, go to confession, perform an act of mercy or charity and pray for Pope Leo’s intentions, we will earn our Plenary Indulgence. The Orange Region took their “pilgrimage” to Christ Cathedral.

Fr. Pascal and the Holy Cross

Fr. Pascal Nguyen, O. Praem, celebrated Mass for us in the beautiful new St Callistus chapel in the crypt area of the cathedral. Dr Elizabeth Nguyen gave us a very informative tour of the chapel and crypt where the previous bishops are buried.

Following Mass we moved upstairs to the main Cathedral to see the Holy Cross.

We had a great turn out of Knights, Dames and Provisionals, including one of our Lourdes Malades from two years ago!

It was wonderful gathering “in community” to spend this time at Mass and in prayerful reflection.
